The cosmic weather has been anything but gentle lately – eclipse portal, solar flares, geomagnetic shifts – no wonder so many of us have been riding the wild waves of high highs and low lows. It's intense out there, and if you're feeling raw, tender, or on edge, you're not alone.
While things on the world stage might be feeling chaotic right now, grounding down and finding your centre of gravity is how you not only regulate, but let go. When everything external feels unsteady, anchoring into your own steadiness is an act of both self-preservation and quiet defiance. It's easy to spiral into helplessness when so much feels beyond our control, but the most revolutionary thing we can do in times like these is reclaim our inner authority.
How?
Remember that you are here on this Earth at this time, for a reason. The gifts you have – your creativity, your voice, your unique skills, your capacity for compassion – are meant to be shared. Lean into them like the world depends on it. Because it does.
While it might seem counterintuitive, joy is a form of resistance. I fully believe that you can shift your reality at any moment with your thoughts, feelings, and energy field (yes, quantum energy is a thing!). Try swapping out your habitual programming of fear and stress, even for a moment. What happens when you intentionally fill your heart up with love? What happens when you choose joy, instead of dread? When you let laughter crack open the tension in your chest? Try it out, and see if you feel a shift in your reality.
Disengage from the noise and return to the reality in front of you. The constant stream of headlines, breaking news, and emotionally-charged content can be so disorienting, pulling you out of your body and into a reactive state. It’s more important than ever to be discerning about the energy you let in, and it’s okay to step away – in fact, it’s necessary. So, try turning off the news, and logging out of the apps for a while, and just let your nervous system recalibrate. What happens when you swap out fear-inducing shows for something that nourishes your spirit – a comforting documentary, a film that makes you laugh, or better yet, no screens at all? Let the real world be your anchor. Go outside and let the simple, tangible aspects of nature remind you that this is reality. I’ll be honest with you – I almost never watch the news. I 100% believe in creating the reality you want to see, and while this might sound a bit radical to some, we’re very rapidly moving into a time where what you believe will be what you see. Pay attention to what you’re consuming, and curate your life accordingly :)

You are not helpless in the face of revolution
As Tahiti Kulia says:
“You are not helpless in the face of revolution. What divinely given gifts were you given? Are you a writer? Share your words. A singer? Sing. Are you someone who can organize systems? Start. Are you someone who can feed? Cook. You already possess the tools to the revolution. Use them.”
Here are two inspiring organizations that are using their passions as vehicles for change, liberation, and revival.
Gaia Music Collective – an NYC-based movement hosting large-scale song circles that unite community, heal through sound frequency, and bring us into a state of collective joy.
The Depanneur – a Toronto-based food collective reviving the lost art of home cooking through workshops, dinners, and table talks. With a focus on reclaiming traditional food practices and celebrating culinary wisdom from cultures around the world, The Depanneur brings people back into the kitchen, where cooking becomes a form of creative expression, a return to ritual, and a reminder that our autonomy begins at the table.
